I am delighted to announce that Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll
have confirmed they will be heading north to join us for the Fiddle Day. They will be leading the 'advanced' and 'intermediate' workshop groups during the day and performing for us too in the evening concert. We look forward to meeting them.
As you may know from previous years, we are limited to numbers so if you are interested in attending please book early. Click on the links below to find out the detail or just contact me.
We're looking forward to a great day and a great evening too. Why not come and join us?
The newly refurbished Mellor Brook Community Centre, located in the heart of Lancashire and only minutes away from the M6 - J31, is again playing host to the event. This will be its 3rd. year. Again it will be a day of fiddle workshops focusing on the 'passing on' of repertoire, skills and knowledge from England's rich musical heritage and, of course, an evening concert.
The three established tutors specialising in traditional music will each lead four classes over the course of the day culminating in group performances at the end of the afternoon. Registration, with a guaranteed warm Lancashire welcome, starts at 9.30am so you've time for a drink and to tune up in time for the first workshop at 10am.
